This is a new service that offers support for People who would like to adopt and foster, whatever their circumstances.

All rescue centres should of course, offer home checks, rescue back up and advice and most do try to do this. However, deciding if adoption or fostering is right for you is not always easy and very time consuming for any rescue to discuss in depth, so anyone new to adopting, inexperienced in pet ownership and a little nervous of taking the step to adopt or foster, may feel advice is inadequate due to the time constraints put on the extremely hard working rescue staff . 

So as an experienced pet owner and adopter of both animals and humans I would like to help bridge that gap and offer my experience, advice and time in helping you to build confidence with your decision to adopt, and support you in the early days by dropping in to help if you have an appointment and need to leave your newly adopted pet or simply just come in and have a chat about any concerns you may have . I can also try to help you to find the type of dog that may be more suitable to your specific needs by working with rescue and researching with you .

Animal welfare is my passion. We all need a little help at times to make sure we care for our pets needs and this is something I will always try to help with. 

I am fully insured and DBS checked 

I will also wear a body camera when visiting to protect both myself and the client 

I am not a Trainer but do have some knowledge of basic training , dog communication and a network of reputable force free trainers to direct you to should you feel you need help .

I have many pets of my own including four rescue dogs, each with very different temperaments, one of which is also an insulin-dependent diabetic. I have integrated them with each other and with my cats and other animals in my home. 

I run a Facebook rescue support group and my son who works in rescue and I work together on the Somerset Animal Information Services website so I have a good network of people within the pet industry including Dog walkers, pet sitters ,Groomers and much more. 

We can work together to home more dogs, cats and other animals, making sure their welfare needs are met and you and your wonderful companion (s) enjoy many years ahead.
