RESCUE 2 HOME ANIMAL SUPPORT

Reliable drop-in care for every pet, whatever their temperament.

Friendly, practical support for people considering adoption or fostering, together with compassionate support for pets in their own homes.

✓ Fully insured ✓ DBS checked ✓ Animal welfare focused
Please note: Rescue 2 Home Animal Support is not a rescue centre.

We are an independent support service working alongside rescue organisations and animal professionals. We provide additional advice, practical support and companion care, but adoption and fostering decisions remain with the relevant rescue organisation.

A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT

Sometimes having someone there makes all the difference.

Bringing a rescue animal into your home can be exciting, but it can also come with questions, nerves and uncertainty.

Rescue 2 Home Animal Support is here to offer practical, friendly support around adoption, fostering, settling in and everyday companion care.

Rescue 2 Home Animal Support
ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Beverley.

This is a new service that offers support for people who would like to adopt and foster, whatever their circumstances.

All rescue centres should of course offer home checks, rescue back-up and advice, and most do try to do this. However, deciding if adoption or fostering is right for you is not always easy and can be very time-consuming for any rescue to discuss in depth.

Anyone new to adopting, inexperienced in pet ownership or simply a little nervous about taking the step to adopt or foster may feel that they need more time, advice and reassurance.

As an experienced pet owner and adopter, I want to help bridge that gap by offering my experience, advice and time to help you feel more confident about your decision to adopt.

I can also support you during those early days, including dropping in if you need to leave your newly adopted pet for an appointment, or simply being there to talk through any concerns you may have.

I can also try to help you find the type of dog that may be more suitable for your circumstances by working alongside rescue organisations and researching options with you.

Fully insured Professional peace of mind.
DBS checked Supporting clients responsibly.
Animal welfare first Every service is built around the animal.
EXPERIENCE & SUPPORT

Practical experience, with a personal approach.

Animal welfare is my passion. We all need a little help at times to make sure we care for our pets' needs, and this is something I will always try to help with.

I am not a trainer, but I do have knowledge of basic training and dog communication. I also have a network of reputable, force-free trainers and behaviourists that I can direct you towards should you need more specialist help.

I have many pets of my own, including four rescue dogs, each with very different temperaments. One of my dogs is also insulin-dependent diabetic.

I have experience integrating dogs, cats and other animals within my home and understanding that every animal is an individual.

WORKING TOGETHER

Working alongside rescues and local animal services.

We work alongside rescue organisations and work closely with Somerset Animal Information Services .

This gives us access to a wider network of people within the pet industry, including dog walkers, pet sitters, groomers, trainers, behaviourists and other animal professionals.

The aim is simple: to work together to support animals and their people, helping make sure welfare needs are understood and that owners know where to turn when they need extra help.
